This Thursday evening class is limited to six students who want to learn how to knit AND for knitters who would like to learn a new knitting technique.  If you are a brand new knitter, you will learn how to cast on and knit then how to purl and cast off.  If you already know how to knit and purl, the new skill you learn could be anything from knitting in the round to cables to colorwork (whatever you are interested in we will teach you).  You can sign up for just one class ($25); however, if you sign up for all three you save $10.  Register in advance for this class since spots are limited.  Please have your supplies picked out before the start of class.  You will receive 10% off all supplies purchased for this class.  We will offer these classes in October (7th, 14th & 21st) and November (4th, 11th & 18th).

Step into Fall by making a pair of socks.  This is a class that YOU customize to your sock need.  It is the class for you if you want to learn how to make a sock in the round on double pointed needles.  It is the class for you if you are at the point of turning the heel and need some guidance.  It is the class for you if you have already made a pair of socks on double pointed needles but want to know how to do it using the magic loop method.  You can also learn how to make the Ruffled Lady Socks during these two hours. 

Supplies Needed:  1 Skein Fingering Weight Sock Yarn and #1 needles

These three classes will teach you how to make the Shifting Shapes Star shawl from the "Christmas in July...oops August" event.  This shawl starts out with 9 stitches and then grows to over 500 stitches.  It starts as a circle, then shifts into a hexagon, then shifts into triangles that resemble diamonds.  Once finished you have a star.

Supplies:  1200 yards of a Dk weight yarn and a #6 24" circular needle

This class will teach you the basic crochet stitches.  During this class you will learn how to chain, single  crochet and a half double crochet.  You need a skein of worsted weight wool and a size H hook.

During this two hour class (or 4 hours if you sign up for both Saturdays) you will learn how to make the Turtle Hat, the Black Hat and/or the Arm Warmers that were featured in the "Christmas in July...oops August" event.  The hats will teach you how to knit in the round and use double pointed needles.  The mittens will teach you how to knit using the Magic Loop Method. These pieces make wonderful gifts for the holidays.

These two classes will teach you how to knit the Beaded Fingerless Mittens from the "Christmas in July...Oops August" event.  You will learn how to knit with beads that you have threaded onto yarn.  It helps that you know how to use the Magic Loop Method of knitting.   If you are unfamiliar with that method then you can make these mittens on #4 double pointed needles.

Supplies:  two skeins Cashmere Queen, #4 40" circular needles, 620 seed beads

Take two hours each week to knit, relax, make new friends and receive needed help on projects.

This Walk-In Class is designed for all of you who need a little extra help with either a work-in-progress, finish a project, pick out a new item to knit or to learn how to knit. All during the lunch hour. It is a great way to spend an hour!
